The evolution from 1901 to today
Melle Bellot managed to get across the idea of a private christian school. The pupils became more numerous. Melle Bellot pased her CAP, allowing her to teach. She stayed in Chef-Boutonne for the following 29 years. We still remember her. "The Four" as they were known, worked terrible hours, and put up with numerous problems. They kept going. In 1920, the school counted 92 pupils and 34 borders. In the thirties, the numbers went down. In 1967, the school became mixed. From 7 students in 1966, it went to 30 in 1968-69 (more CM1 and CM2), up to 98 in 1971-72, up to 144 in 1976-77. In 1968, construction of the lab and design technology room.
